Today we remember, not the evil men who carried out these acts against our nation;

We remember the innocent lives taken from us;

We remember the families who lost husbands, wives, sons and daughters, moms and dads, aunts and uncles, grandchildren and grandparents;

We remember the heroism of our law enforcement and emergency personnel who selflessly ran into buildings to save people knowing it would cost them their life;

We remember the resiliency of a nation that would not be intimidated by acts of terrorism;

We remember how we felt on September 12 not divided by politics or status but united as Americans.

So today, Patriots Day, we remember all those who lost their lives and who gave their lives on September 11th, as well as those who carry on with the memories of that fateful day, knowing that we are American’s, home of the brave, land of the free!
